Get an Award
Are you aged 12 – 25? Whether you're already volunteering or just thinking about it, The Saltire Awards are for you!
There are four different types of Award to recognise different levels of volunteering:
  • The Challenge which recognises people starting out their volunteering journey by taking part in a team challenge.
  • The Approach which recognises people who have started regular volunteering, with certificates awarded after 10 and 25 hours have been completed.
  • The Ascent for those who have made a longer commitment of 50, 100, 200 or 500 hours.
  • The Summit for those who have made an outstanding contribution to volunteering.
By creating a My Saltire account online, you can record your volunteering hours, highlight the learning and skills you’ve gained and apply for an Award.
Having a Saltire Award is a great addition to your CV. You also can also earn up to 3,000 Young Scot Reward Points with each Award.
Aged 13 or over?
Register for a My Saltire account to get started recording your volunteering hours and applying for Awards. This service will re-launch soon.
Aged under 13?
Unfortunately we cannot currently register you online for the Saltire Awards. This is because data protection laws mean we need to get a parent or guardian’s permission.

To get started, you should contact your local Third Sector Interface (TSI) who can help you apply for a Saltire Award.

If you’ve already completed enough hours to get an Award, you can send them this registration form and have it signed by a parent or guardian
