Support your volunteers
Do you want to recognise, celebrate and reward your young volunteers? You can support them to apply for a Saltire Award. You may want to offer:
- The Challenge Award to young people who have started their volunteering journey by taking part in a team challenge.
- The Approach Award to young people who have started regular volunteering with a group or organisation to recognise reaching 10 or 25 hours completed.
- The Ascent Award to young people who have made a longer commitment to volunteering when they have reached 50, 100, 200 or 500 hours completed
- The Summit Award to young people who have made an outstanding contribution to volunteering.

Ready to get started?
Local organisations should register with their local Third Sector Interface (TSI) - they provide support and assistance to get you started. Your local TSI can also help you with volunteer recruitment and other matters on volunteer management.
Regional and national organisations should contact Voluntary Action South Lanarkshire to get advice about how your young volunteers can register for the Saltire Awards.
We’ve provided a range of tools and forms to help you. It's therefore, easier than ever, to support young people who volunteer with you to ensure they receive recognition for their efforts.
